What a treat to be traveling through Georgia and come upon Peggy's Restaurant in Wrens. Wonderful fresh Southern cooking! The fried chicken amazing and the fresh vegetable yum yum! Sweet and welcoming staff as well. Make a stop when you're going up US Highway 1. You'll be glad you did!

Soul food with a smile! Fried chicken was to die for. I initially got the small dinner plate, which only came with one breast. It was so good, that I ended up going back through the line to order two additional pieces. Sides were fantastic as well, as was the sweet tea (just the perfect amount of sugar) If you're on a road trip passing though, this is a MUST STOP! Mostly locals around these parts, but visitors are welcome. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant
We go by this restaurant when traveling to see family in Warner Robbins. We had noticed it was always busy. We finally stopped for lunch and now we can't pass without stopping. On our last trip that meant lunch going and breakfast coming home. This place is not fancy. Just good home cooked food at a reasonable price. You will not leave hungry.
